If you are trying to get your credit report, don't get tricked by the catchy song on tv about free credit report, if you read the fine print you will be enrolled in a 7 day trial and if you don't cancel within 7 days you will start being billed $16.95 per month, they probably made you use your credit card number when you signed up for your "Free" credit report so they will just start billing your credit card.
The only FREE credit report is https://www.annualcreditreport.com. Once a year you can access your credit report from the 3 credit reporting companies, Transunion, Equifax and Experian. You do have to create a username and password and you will have to enter some personal information and they will ask you specific questions to verify that you are who you say you are. It's a good idea to check yours yearly in case there are mistakes, it's easier to fix them if you catch them right away. I've used this before and found several small mistakes and was able to fix them without too much trouble.
Keep in mind this is different than your credit score, this will not give you your credit score. You can purchase your credit score through one of the reporting agencies Transunion, Equifax or Experian.
